I went to the lake today around 1:30 to walk in the 32 degree air. It was sunny and chilly, but not windy. The lake is finally covered fully in ice (though as I discovered during my walk the part near the mountain still has a gap), and it is crystal clear. It's only about an eigth of an inch thick, and was easily broken by putting my weight on it in a safe manner. A beautiful sight, especially since there has been no significant snow to date.
