I heated some rice in a covered pot after adding some water to prevent sticking. Halfway through I added fresh broccoli so it could steam. I cooked a pair of boneless pork chops on the stove top after soaking them in soy sauce. Then I added them to the rice with some thorough stirring. Finally, I added fresh mushrooms and pea pods, and ta-da! Healthy homemade rice, with enough leftover for another day...
I am guessing that many people these days would find the flavor bland, but the fresh veggies and seasoned pork tasted fantastic to me!
