Rare But Medium

I don't often cook foods that are a combination of messy and time-consuming, because for one person it's rarely worth it. Foods like any kind of chicken (baked, fried, etc...), roasts of various kinds, and cheeseburgers. But tonight I made two big burgers on toasted multigrain bread. I formed the patties with salt & pepper mixed into the meat, and cooked them to medium. I put mustard on the toast. I added thick slices from a huge tomato directly from my dad's garden, and American cheese went on all four slices of bread. It was SO worth the effort...
